In this interactive virtual session we will discuss practical, relevant information to help increase your awareness, knowledge, and comfort with clinical nutrition practices. Using a combination of presentations, discussions, and activities we will cover topics including evaluating pet foods and their ingredients and labels, creating and calculating feeding plans for healthy and overweight pets, knowing when and why to incorporate assisted feeding including the use of feeding tubes and appropriate critical care diets, and how to create home diet recipes using human foods for healthy pets and those with disorders. Each registrant will receive a package of materials to keep which will facilitate the educational objectives and help you put the knowledge into practice.

Oh Snap! A Team Approach to Navigating Intra-Operative Urgencies

Anesthetic and surgical complications happen despite our endless planning and best efforts. This workshop will discuss common issues encountered during surgery from the perspective of a surgeon and an anesthetist. Some background discussion will precede an in-depth dive into case examples that will allow attendees to flex their knowledge and their ability to work together as a team.

*Open to Veterinarians and Technicians.  Limited enrollment with a waiting list.
